30 January, 2020: Brookings India in partnership with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), held a book discussion to launch “The Absent Dialogue: Politicians, Bureaucrats, and the Military in India.” Watch the video of author remarks.

 

This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha), General V.P. Malik (former Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army), Sanjay Mitra (former Secretary, Ministry of Defence), Manvendra Singh (former Member, Standing Committee on Defence), Anit Mukherjee and the discussion was moderated by Barkha Dutt (Journalist and Columnist, Washington Post).
